Happy Summer!
Morning and Afternoon Meetings
What a fantastic start to the second week of summer school! On Monday, our morning meeting started with everyone introducing themselves through singing. Then with warm greetings, checking the calendar and singing the months and days of the week, discussing the weather, assigning daily job helpers, and a lively dance party to our favorite songs. It was a truly wonderful and energetic beginning to another exciting week!
Topic Exploration
This week's theme, "Splashing into Summer", made us all want to splash in the water in this very hot season! On Monday, we learned the different summer activities we can do to stay cool and made a Splashing Paint art. On Tuesday, we continued our learning of words and phrases about summer and built sandcastles by group! On Wednesday, we did some experiments and things got a bit messy with our Water STEAM activity where we had the freedom to create anything we want using common materials like toilet paper rolls, sticks, and cups. Then on Thursday, we learned the different names of specific fish we can find in the sea, even the unfamiliar ones! For our craft, we made a stained glass art with colorful films and silhouette papers.
Then on Friday, to wrap up this Summer School, we had a goodbye party! We made an under the sea yogurt snack and got the chance to enjoy eating it with our friends while watching a movie we like! Thank you for providing a yogurt for your child, parents!
It was so fun and emotional to see them finishing the Summer School but I am happy that we all get to enjoy this week and meet new friends! Thank you all for joining us!
