Week 1- Summer School

Morning & Afternoon Meeting

This week we sang songs together, we danced together, looked at pictures of our weekend adventures, and we got to meet our friends again!! Everyone really loves doing the 'Head Shoulders Knees and Toes' dance! They always try their best when it comes to waking up haha!

Topic Exploration

This week's topic exploration was all about Jungle safaris! We made lots of crafts this week that relate to the jungle and the animals that do and used to live there! We made safari hats and binoculars to go adventuring into the jungle. We made our own jungle filled with dinosaurs, and monkeys that we hung around the room! We made alligators, leaf paintings, and we even made a volcano!! We painted the volcano and watched it explode with baking soda and vinegar! Everyone got a certificate for how hard they worked this week. They are now all jungle guides!!

Language and Literacy

This week we practiced the letters we have already covered with different games! We practiced saying "I see" with different pictures, we played a racing game where we had to hit the correct letter first, and we made letters out of playdough! They had so much fun and are getting the hang of these letters!

Free Play!

Here are some pictures of our friends enjoying their free play time! We played in the big room this week and we played different games! We played banana tag, obstacle course, and ball tag! Everyone had so much fun!!
